Target Australia has appointed a new marketing chief as the retail chain continues its creative shake up.

According to Adnews, Lee Applbaum, former marketing boss at Radio Shack, is to head the newly revamped department, replacing former chief Murray Chenery.

Chenery left Target earlier this year after 22 years with the company, including 10 years as head of marketing.

“Lee Applbaum will join Target Australia as general manager marketing on Monday 3 September, following his appointment to the role in July," a Target spokeswoman told Adnews.

The retail chain is said be currently in the midst of redevelopments after splitting with its former creative agent, the Campaign Palace in March.
