Brisbane party suburb Fortitude Valley is experiencing a commercialisation with four well-known names entering a local centre.

Lend Lease centre, Valley Metro, has signed NAB bank to a 339sqm site, joining other new tenants BWS liquor store, KFC, and 7-Eleven.

The trendy suburb, known mostly for its night clubs and boho-chic stores, is experiencing big retail interest, says Julian Musial, CBRE senior manager, retail services.

"The centre has a solid tenancy mix and is well on its way to becoming a retail hub in Fortitude Valley,” he says.

“The centre is in an ideal city fringe location for retailers given the significant foot traffic generated by the Fortitude Valley railway station – Brisbane’s third busiest transport hub.”

The Valley Metro shopping centre is located above the Fortitude Valley Railway Station at on Brunswick Street, and includes a 840 space car parking facility.

Negotiations are still underway to fill the remaining tenancies left in the centre.
