Hudson News India for sale

InterGlobe Enterprises is reportedly planning to sell the Hudson News Cafe convenience stores at Delhi Metro stations. The company, together with travel retailer Hudson, started the Hudson News Cafe convenience stores business in India in 2011 through a franchise agreement with Swiss company Dufry. InterGlobe Enterprises did not confirm the reports but its spokesman said in a statement the company is evaluating options, including looking at rationalising the location of a few outlets in consultation with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Sources familiar with the matter say retail is not a core business of InterGlobe Enterprises, which runs Indigo Airlines, and the move is part of a strategic exit from retailing altogether. There are 37 Hudson News Cafe convenience stores selling books, confectionery, accessories, beverages and snacks in Delhi.
