Johnny Rockets eyes 20 Indian stores

Fast food chain Johnny Rockets eyes 20 stores in India in five years.

Having entered the country earlier this year, Johnny Rockets now has two outlets in the country, one in Gurgaon and one in New Delhi.

Future openings are planned for cities including Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Jaipur.

“India is obviously a large country that has been growing very strongly and the acceptance for global brands – within food and outside – has been very good. India can play a big role in our future growth globally,” said Scott Chorna, VP, Johnny Rockets, international.

Johnny Rockets, which offers guests an upbeat atmosphere of casual fun complete with twirled straws and lively music, is operated by Prime Gourmet in India.

Rabobank projects India’s quick service restaurant market to grow 30 per cent until 2015.
