Abbacino plans China expansion

Spanish bag brand Abbacino is to open 50 new stores across China next year.

Abbacino entered China in 2011 when it opened its first store in Shenzhen. Since then, it has been expanding in the world’s second largest economy with 20 stores opened this year.

MD and co-founder Sebastià Vadell said the company has signed dozens more deals to open retail stores all over the country.

Abbacino originated in 1982, although the accessories brand itself, which balances style with practicality, was not created until 1997.

Today, the family firm, run by brothers Sebastià and Toni Vadell operates in more than 15 markets including the US, Italy, France, Russia, Japan and China.
